Employee Performance Support System (EPSS)
An EPSS (Employee Performance Support System) is an Interactive Online Help. So it not only supports the usage of the software, but helps the end user directly with the completion of his daily tasks. Because ordinary Online Help focuses on the processes, transactions and supporting systems, and training is almost always offered outside the context of the specific activities, the necessary information is not available at the moment the end user actually needs it.
Therefore is it impossible for Online Help and training to integrate the recently learned solutions with the practice on the work desk. As such, a bigger part of the acquired knowledge gets lost.
An EPSS on the other hand, gives learning meaning by producing information in a day to day context. This way everyone can solve problems on the spot and immediately use the fresh acquired expertise and guard it for the future.
